Felted Bags

 All of my felted bags are one of a kind 
and made by hand.

They start by being hand crocheted to double the finished bag size.
 
Then they are boiled to shrink and strengthen the wool,

Water is pressed out and the bag is blocked to dry outside in the mountain breeze.

The button is then hand-made to match each bag,

Linings are cut,  fit individually and hand sewn to fit your bag perfectly.

This process takes aprox. a week sometimes longer.

Felted bags are very sturdy they do not stretch out and can easily be washed.

Be assured that your bag is of the highest quality.











Ceramic Jewelry & Buttons

All of my necklaces, earrings and buttons are made by hand one at a time.
No two are ever exactly alike!

The clay is hand rolled to the proper thickness.

All pieces are hand formed to the desired shape and texture using wire, knives, found items such as: driftwood, waterfall pebbles and some custom stamps.

They are then polished with water and sponge or file to give soft even edges, 

Then bisque fired in the kiln.

After the first firing each piece is glazed  (one at a time) using a number of different techniques with  different forms of glazes, recycled crushed glass, ash, salt and red dirt.
They go back into the kiln for one more firing.

When removed they are each reviewed for any flaws or improper firing temps and the imperfect pieces are removed. 

The accepted pieces are mounted on high quality bails or button backs with a strong epoxy.

Each piece has its own unique personality.
